King found that sexual habituation leads to changes in the way we interact with our partners.  At three to seven years into a marriage, King found it requires “increased stimulation to produce the sexual excitation previously obtained by a glance or simple touch.”  Translation: It may take pornography, dirty talk, and sexual fantasies to produce the same effect on your libido as one Mai Tai on your honeymoon in Maui.

King estimates that a couple open to new sexual experiences will begin to explore alternative avenues and grow together.  King designates this as a crucial tipping point in a relationship - one in which a marriage and partnership ends (with a spike in divorce rates), or blossoms into a different connection.  Swinging is not always the answer.  In fact, many couples batten down and weather this storm together.  Others turn to cheating to fulltil the spirit of sexual variety and adventure, but that comes with secrecy and deceit.

But swingers - a small minority of relationships - can swallow feelings of jealousy found in unstable relationships and soldier forward in a united, kinky front.  A nationwide study by Bellarmine University Sociology Professor Dr. Curtis Bergstrand found 62% of swingers found that swinging improved their marriages or relationships, 35% said their relationships stayed about the same, and only 1.7% said they became less happy (even half of those who reported “very happy” marriages prior to swinging said they became happier).

Our anecdotal evidence suggests swingers are overwhelmingly middle class, committed couples, who love their spouse, but are sexually adventurous with other adults.  We find swingers tend to be traditionally Conservative, but of a Libertarian ilk, and believe that adults should be allowed to do what they like, as long as it doesn't interfere with others (let me throw my wild sex party, and I’ll keep the screams-of-pleasure from waking the neighbors).

Frenchman ordered to pay ex-wife £9,000 for not having sex after marriage

A reluctant husband has been sued for £9,000 by his wife for failing to have sex with her for 'a period of several years'.

The 51-year-old Frenchman, named only as Jean-Louis, neglected his matrimonial duties to wife Monique in Nice, who sued him for 10,000 euros (£8,700) and took her divorce case to an Appeal Court.

The court in Aix-en-Provence heard that the couple had been married for 21 years and raised two children on the French Riviera.

But the strains of work and illness prevented Jean-Louis from fulfilling his matrimonial duties, his advocate pleaded.

Announcing her decision the judge quoted the French civil and penal code, which requires both parties in a marriage to respect ‘lifelong community’ requiring them by law to have sexual relations.

Whereas sexual abstinence in a couple, together with violence and infidelity, are cited regularly in hundreds of divorce claims in France, it is extremely rare for a husband or wife to pay financial damages for specifically failing to satisfy sexually.

The last similar case in France dates back to the year 2000.

In recent years the traditional image of the French lover par excellence has taken a battering from statistics.

The country that put the ‘French’ in front of kiss and purports to speak ‘la langue de l’amour’ is in the process of losing its libido, it would seem.

A survey by the French Institute of Public Opinion questioned 1,000 adults and found that 76% of them ‘suffer relationship problems that due to a poor sex life.

Half of those also polled said they had 'no desire' to make love.

More than a third of French women confessed to citing headaches, fatigue or ‘not in front of the children’ as excuses for saying no. One in six men admitted similar excuses.

Figures show that one in three traditional French marriages ends in divorce.

Growing numbers of French couples are opting for civil solidarity pacts known as PACS .

PACS, contractual agreements also available to same sex partners, were introduced by the government of Lionel Jospin in 1999 and were signed by 700,000 couples during the first ten years of the new legal arrangement.

The new deal has become so popular in France that the expression ‘être pacsé’ is used as often as ‘être marié’ to mean ‘having tied the knot’.

Swedish businessman Berth Milton Jr says he plans to open 100 of the shocking sex hotels in hotspots around the world.

Milton, the son of the man credited with creating hardcore porn in the 1960s, believes the amateurish sex sessions will be a gold mine.

Although guests will stay for free, he reckons porn lovers will pay to watch members of the public having sex.

'The numbers are astonishing,' insisted Milton, calculating that a single hotel could generate $43.8 million a year in subscription fees from voyeurs watching from computers around the world.

He believes his sex hotels will work because they will be so graphic - and also believes people will look back and see his plans as the start of something massive.

Etiquette for swingers

Being in the swinging lifestyle for a couple decades now, we can tell you that there are no actual formal rules for any given swinger's party. Each host will give you a guideline for their event, but generally if you practice good manners and follow the golden rule, you'll have a wonderful time. Cinco de Mayo International Swingers Weekend Campout in Minnesota Come celebrate your heritage at the Cinco de Mayo International Weekend Party and Campout at the Season Opener weekend at Two Creeks, just North of the Twin Cities near Sandstone, MN, Friday - Sunday, May 1 - 3, 2009.

Real Campers swingers event hosted by Attraction in Minnesota This weekend, we'll celebrate not just being an American, but also our backgrounds. We'll celebrate not just Cinco de Mayo, but all nationalities. We are asking everyone to come share your stories about your heritage; fly your ancestral flag; come share your traditional food/dish at the Potluck on Saturday.

We expect all types of people to be in attendance; we expect many nationalities and countries to be represented. So whatever your background ... i.e. Latino, Scandinavian, French, Jamaican, English, African-American, Irish, East Indian, Native American (etc., just to name a few), come share and party with us; we suggest that you wear a traditional outfit, or something that's unique to you and your background. Also, bring a dish to share... for example - we know that Jamaican Jerk Chicken will be a part of the potluck dinner on Saturday. What will you be bringing?

Oh yeah - did we mention that this will also be a swinger's event? What better way to celebrate May than with friends from all backgrounds. This weekend event will be held at a private, secluded, 100 acre, clothing-optional campground just north of Minneapolis. You can just come in for the dances on Friday and/or Saturday night, or you can camp all weekend long. This event is whatever you make it to be. This event is as little as $17.50 per person if coming as a couple (add $5 after Wednesday, April 29, 2009).

Fondue and box game night .. Nut and Bolt game if we get enough will Partisapents
Its a No pressure No means No party
We have a hot tub and room for 3 couples to spend the night
We will have fondue pots and towels and ice and bedding
YOU BRING YOUR OWN MEAT , dish or snack
Please bring you own toys, booze and personal items
please bring an ice breaker game if YOU have one
there are couple areas to play at our place
please RSVP because we are not posting this party and are only inviting a few couples

hope to have 5 to 10 couples join us with a couple to spend the night
